This is because of the similarity of Georgian wrestling and of the policy of introducing judo as many people as possible. Retention would come later. He is also very keen to see as part of the IJF.ORG to have as part of the world championships/Olympics newa championships . A brilliant idea as newaza due to the current rules almost make it impossible to include newaza during normal contest and it was very important that to retain older people in that newaza must be part of judo.Peter received from Uni Judo club many dvd's and books to help him pursue he dream of re establishing newa as part of judo. Peter also agreed that judo without newaza was not judo.
